Sports marketing agency, Genesco, which reps well-known sponsors like MillerCoors, Pepsi and others has launched a new, web-based tool that it says will help quantify which pro and college sports teams are the most valuable from a sponsorship perspective. Ranking teams off the field isn't as cut and dry as wins and losses so Genesco says that clients will be able to adjust different weights to various criteria based on their objectives. Sponsorship Advisor it says will rate each sports team on a scale of 1-to-100 and assign an overall score based on things like impact, stature and fan avidity.
