Bank of Utah presents "Hoops for Hope' check for approximately $1,200 to Child and Family Support Center Leigh Dean / Child and Family Support Center cachevalleydaily.com | Utah State University fans had more than one reason to cheer with every point this basketball season. Each time the Aggie men’s basketball team made a basket during home games, a good cause received much needed support. Bank of Utah pledged to donate $1 to the Child & Family Support Center for every Aggie point at home games during the 2013-2014 basketball season. On Wednesday, March 5, at the final home game of the season, Bank of Utah presented a check for approximately $1,200 to Rachel Vance, a representative from the local charity. The money will be used to help construct a new crisis nursery at the Child and Family Support Center’s new Hyrum location. "Our Logan and Providence branches and our Logan and City Center mortgage offices are pleased to sponsor Utah State Athletics and to partner with them on our Hoops for Hope fundraiser for the Child & Family Support Center," said Krista Lewis, senior vice president commercial loan officer for Bank of Utah in Cache Valley. "We loved getting behind the Aggie men's basketball team with the sponsorship, and it was very exciting each time they scored a basket because we knew we were also providing funds to help educate and strengthen families, protect children, and provide support for victims of violence and abuse in our community."
