04/16/2009 11:06 AM ETMinnesota Twins Announce New Sponsorship with Blue Bunny® Ice Cream Three-year agreement establishes Blue Bunny as the official ice cream of the Minnesota Twins The Minnesota Twins and Blue Bunny reached a sponsorship agreement for Blue Bunny to be the official ice cream of the Minnesota Twins. The agreement is in place for the Twins final year at the H.H.H. Metrodome and as the team moves into Target Field. In addition to Blue Bunny ice cream being sold at the Metrodome, key elements for the deal include signage, promotional opportunities and the ability to reach consumers in store via customized retail programs in the Minneapolis area. "The Minnesota Twins are proud to announce our partnership with such a great company," said Twins Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Eric Curry. "We are excited to partner with Blue Bunny at the Metrodome this year, and then when we move into our new home at Target Field." "There's nothing that goes together better than baseball and ice cream, two of America's all-time family favorites," says Mike Wells, CEO of Wells' Dairy, makers of Blue Bunny ice cream. "Our marketing partnership with the Twins will no doubt add a twist of fun to a day at the ballpark as fans enjoy great tasting Blue Bunny ice cream while celebrating the rich history of the Twins in their final season playing at the Metrodome as well as anticipating the excitement of moving to a new stadium next year." A number of Blue Bunny game day events and promotions will be featured throughout the season. At each game of the 2009 season, three fans will have the opportunity to try to win a year supply of Blue Bunny ice cream by attempting to throw a baseball into a large Blue Bunny branded ice cream container. Blue Bunny is the sponsor of Sunday's Kids Day, where up to two kids 14 and younger receive free Home Run Porch or Cheap Seats admission with the purchase of an adult ticket in the same section. In addition, during select games kids can receive free Twins player autographs, Blue Bunny samples (while supplies last) at the pregame on the Quest Metrodome Plaza and run the bases after the game.
