Texas today announced a partnership with the Dallas-based Branded Retail Energy Company to create Texas Longhorns Energy (TLE). The goal is to provide what's being billed as "100% renewable energy" to Texas alumni and fans in deregulated areas of the state. Every time a new customer signs on the Longhorns athletic department will get a cut.
