Tilton/Getty Images) IndyCar: Harding Steinbrenner Racing secure sponsorship for the rest of 2019 Harding Steinbrenner Racing are here to stay in the 2019 IndyCar season after securing a multimillion dollar sponsorship deal with GESS and Capstone.Earlier this week, doubt was cast over the idea of Harding Steinbrenner Racing being able to finish out the entire 17-race 2019 IndyCar season, as they needed additional funding to continue to field the #88 Honda that is driven by rookie Colton Herta.But now a multimillion dollar sponsorship deal has been secured for the team that will allow Herta to drive the #88 Honda in each and every one of the season’s final nine races.Harding Steinbrenner Racing secured this multimillion dollar sponsorship deal with Green Energy Sustainable Solutions, Incorporated (GESS) and Capstone Turbine Corporation for these two companies to sponsor the #88 Honda in these nine races.Here is what Harding Steinbrenner Racing team president Brian Barnhardt had to say about the matter, according to ABC News.“To get those two companies to come aboard in-season with a multimillion dollar commitment, which will certainly allow us to continue to participate for the rest of this year more comfortably than we were able to do anything last year, that makes you feel great.”Here is what Harding Steinbrenner Racing co-owner George Steinbrenner IV had to say about the matter, according to ABC News.“It’s a game-changer.”For tonight’s, DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway, Herta qualified in 10th place. GESS and Capstone are both serving as the co-primary sponsors of Alexander Rossi’s #27 Andretti Autosport Honda as well as Herta’s #88 Honda.The 19-year-old Valencia, California native enters this 248-lap race around the four-turn, 1.44-mile (2.317-kilometer) high-banked Texas Motor Speedway oval in Fort Worth, Texas seeking his first finish of higher than 12th place since he became the youngest winner in IndyCar history by winning the 2019 season’s second race at Circuit of the Americas back in March at the age of 18.
