<p>BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – The First Night Boston fireworks are going on this year after some temporary doubt about how they would be paid for.<p>The City of Boston Credit Union has stepped in to sponsor the midnight fireworks as we ring in 2016.<p>"I am grateful for the City of Boston Credit Union for stepping up and sponsoring this year's midnight fireworks," Mayor Marty Walsh said in a statement.<p>First Night 2016 is being put on as part of a partnership between the city and Conventures inc. The Credit Union will donate $30,000 for the midnight fireworks.
