Continental on track with Copa do Brasil Tyre manufacturer Continental has signed up to sponsor the Copa do Brasil, Brazilian club soccer’s annual knockout competition.The German company’s branding will debut in the competition from this year’s quarterfinal matches, which take place later this month.The sponsorship will be supported by a Brazil-wide promotional campaign that will include media activities and Continental’s dealer network in the country.Founded 27 years ago, the Copa do Brasil features 86 Brazilian club sides. Atlético Mineiro are the reigning champions.Continental is no stranger to soccer sponsorships. It currently supports North America’s Major League Soccer (MLS), the US national team, the Uefa European Championships and the Bundesliga, among other properties.
