Now among the largest supporters of motorsports in the U.S., both competitively and through sponsorships, Toyota seeks new challenges - and, hopefully, new triumphs - on a variety of fronts in the new millennium. Toyota Racing Development (TRD), based in Costa Mesa, plays a major role in developing and building racing engines. Toyota continues to compete in off-road racing, NASCAR and, of course, remains title sponsor of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, where its U.S. motorsports involvement began more than 40 years ago!
