Published February 7, 2008 PGA Tour golfer Phil Mickelson has signed a three-year deal with auditing firm KPMG in which Mickelson will wear the company's logo on his cap or visor beginning this week with the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Mickelson will appear at various KPMG-sponsored events and could appear in future ads for the company (KPMG). Mickelson said, "There was a consistent fit there and it’s something we’ve worked together now the last few weeks to have it come about" ("Golf Central," Golf Channel, 2/6). Mickelson wore the Callaway logo during his first two tournaments this year after his endorsement deal with Bearing Point ended contentiously. Mickelson previously was sponsored by KPMG Consulting, which was spun off from KPMG in 2001 and later renamed Bearing Point (THE DAILY).
