As an Event Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for executing and managing Opera Mediaworks’ event operations and processes on a global level. Creative vision will matter as much as project and time management skills. In this role, you will interact often with internal employees across departments, with our customers and partners’ marketing departments, and with external partners and vendors to support our extensive event schedule. We are looking for a seasoned events marketer who will continue to elevate our events to a world-class level. The Events Marketing Manager will oversee highly visible events from conception to budget reconciliation to ROI tracking and ensuring events are aligned with the business goals and overall marketing strategy. Events may include, CES, Mobile World Congress, SXSW, Cannes Lions, DMexco, Advertising Week etc. Build solid relationships with 3rd party vendors, internal team members, and a wide range of stakeholders across our client to ensure high-quality process and event practices; Develop and manage a creative and innovative event strategy in collaboration with team and key stakeholders Own team operations for event management, such as event storage, shipping, production logistics, and inventory. Execute event planning for a variety of internal and external meetings, including invitations, managing attendance/RSVPs, and selecting accommodations/venues and meals. Consult with stakeholders on options for all aspects of the event. Collaborate with internal communications area and leadership to understand concept/vision/messaging of events to partner in communication regarding the event with various audiences and determining audio visual needs for events. Travel to events to oversee setup or perform the setup themselves, and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Leads the development and execution of strategic tradeshows that support initiatives; recommends appropriate messages and tactics. Applies product and market knowledge throughout the process. Analyzes program impact and ROI for projects and/or launches. Provides recommendations and creates plans for continuous improvement. Required Skills

4+ years of proven track record and experience working with event planning/management (i.e. corporate events, conferences, tradeshows) and vendor management/relations (i.e. selection process, negotiations, understanding of contracts, conflict resolution) Have applicable industry knowledge (tech, advertising, media, mobile, etc.) Demonstrated experience working effectively under pressure while remaining flexible, adaptable, and open to feedback; ability to remain focused and professional during unanticipated event setbacks. Excellent organizational, administrative, project management, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight timeframes/deadlines; Travel to events to oversee setup or perform the setup themselves, and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
