PureCars’ Events and PR Manager will protect and promote the Company’s brand through media and events. S/he will be responsible for public relations strategy and execution including activities such as awards’ submissions, managing all media relationships, and press releases. The PR and Events Manager will also plan, execute, oversee, and market all corporate, regional, and national events from concept to execution. S/he is responsible for coordination and execution of all trade shows, including logistics management, signage, collateral development, staff training, scheduling, travel arrangements, and outbound promotions to drive event traffic. Primary Responsibilities Identifies, plans and executes customer events, regional and national tradeshows, product launches, sponsorships and speaking engagements ensuring that events and programs align/integrate with PureCars’ goals Responsible for all event logistical planning -- 3rd party vendor management, venue selection, catering, audiovisual, and decor Research and qualify events (conferences, tradeshows, seminars) for PureCars participation based on attendance/size/audience Work with others to develop integrated marketing plans for each event based on target audience, including program objectives, messaging, demos, promotions, PR, and social media campaigns Manage all regional and corporate event booths and kits ensuring all required materials are included for each event Coordinate pre- and post-event promotions, including email marketing, webinars, social media, and direct mail campaigns Maintain events calendar / sponsorship deadlines Works with event partners to ensure ROI, whether it's a list post-event or digital real estate on their event channels; managing event leads, metrics and data Attend events and educate attendees on our product offerings Conduct media relations’ activities targeting our primary audiences: customers, prospective customers, industry influencers, and investors Play a pivotal role in building and protecting our reputation by building positive media relationships and carefully managing difficult ones Develop substantive campaigns that will be newsworthy and resonate with the media, guiding and writing content to support these campaigns, and reporting back to Director of Marketing on the results Develop and implement digital strategies and identify ways to adapt our communications approach to digital communications Prepare news and launch activities, including coordinating media, influencer and blogger interviews, tours, events, generating releases, presentations and other materials as appropriate Cultivate and maintain relationships with top media, influencers, bloggers and industry leaders (business, national, global) Identify and submit PureCars for trade awards (e.g. Innovation Cup) Provide media and spokesperson training for key execs as needed


Required Skills

Skills & Qualifications College Degree; Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing preferred Budget management Experience interfacing with executive management and senior level customers for events in automotive space Experience managing third party vendors which include group travel providers, marketing communications agencies, production companies, website developers, and off site venues (hotels, conference centers, restaurants, etc.) Superior interpersonal, oral (ability to think on your feet) and written communication skills; tactful and diplomatic Strong project management skills and deadline oriented Ability to work as part of a team, and autonomously Ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Minimum 3 years of B2B experience planning and executing events. Automotive experience required Strong existing relationships with automotive and technology communities Experience with Salesforce.com CRM system and marketing automation systems a plus Takes initiative; self-starter Good understanding of Customer Relationship Management and Customer Communication strategies Other Considerations 20% Travel Some nights and weekends
