The VP, Client Partnerships is an innovator, strategic thinker and thought leader. He/she is responsible for strategic partnership marketing across the CNN networks and digital assets - surrounding traditional news, original films and series - with a specific focus on branded content and custom solutions. The VP, Client Partnerships is also responsible for the development, branding, positioning and marketing of all sales materials and collateral. He/she will collaborate with other groups within the organization such as Content Development, Program Development, Editorial, Research and the Advertising Sales team to build strategic client partnerships which generate significant revenue opportunities on our linear networks and digital properties. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Package and develop revenue-driving, multi-platform programs that stand out in a competitive media landscape - Partner with Content and Program Development to develop deep client integration opportunities - Stay on top of digital advertising trends and tactics and ahead of the curve on ad technology - Build alliances and processes, working diplomatically and effectively across internal departments - Create sales presentation templates, upfront, scatter and program-specific presentations as well as customized client proposals - Accompany Sales to present at high-level client and agency meetings - Manage, lead, direct, motivate and inspire teams in New York and Los Angeles and coordinate all client partnership efforts on a national basis - Expand CNN's industry presence and engage in speaking opportunities at conferences and industry events


Required Skills

- A minimum of 10 years of strong sales marketing / entertainment / media experience - Successful track record in developing client solutions and custom content / branded entertainment - Excellent executive-level presentation and communication skills - gravitas and ability to influence at the c-level - Strong ability to demonstrate leadership both internally and externally - Deep understanding of media industry and digital landscape specifically video, mobile and social media - Client-focused attitude - Strong follow-through, problem-solving skills and ability to easily navigate from a strategic lens to a tactical one - Proven management and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast pace environment - "Anti" complacent and "impatient" approach to driving the business forward - Maturity, poise and "grace" under pressure - A Bachelors' degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required, MBA is preferred.
