Syfy seeks a Manager, Sponsorship Marketing to work closely with the department Director to activate the team's cross-platform strategic ad sales sponsorship strategy. The manager should have experience working across multiple platforms with an expertise in digital and social marketing. In this role, the Manager will help implement this strategy by: • Create unique and innovative cross-platform marketing packages around Syfy programming, Syfy.com, Syfy social, events and brand campaigns • Specialty: Work with the Digital and Social Marketing departments to explore new strategies and tactics that can be used in programming and brand TV360 sponsorship packages – educating the rest of the department as needed • Manage key ad sales accounts throughout the RFP process from development of client proposals to supporting ad sales on client pitches as needed • Execute advertiser sponsorship programs by working closely with internal and external production, creative, digital and programming teams • Develop high-impact marketing collateral that communicates Syfy's digital and social capabilities to the marketplace • Evaluate marketplace trends and conduct competitive research to maintain premium offerings and educate the team on unique and innovative platforms and sponsorships S/he will work closely with two fellow Managers, and will be supported by a department Coordinator. Responsibilities may also translate to Syfy’s sister network Chiller. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and will be a creative thinker, a problem solver and will have worked within an ad sales marketing department, digital marketing department and/or consumer marketing department at another television network or media company. Experience working directly with on-air/digital production, creative and brand marketing teams is a plus.


Required Skills

• Candidate must be a creative thinker and team player with a solid understanding of on-air and digital marketing, social media, research and the media business • Must be resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills • At least 3-4 years of experience at an agency, media company or sales organization • Bachelor's degree required • Experience using Excel, Word and especially PowerPoint • Experience with graphic design is a plus
