The Experiential Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing high profile B2B, B2C and PR events that drive engagement and build relationships with consumers, merchants, media/influencers and developers on behalf of PayPal. This position will work cross-functionally across multiple business units within the company to develop experiential strategies that map to stated goals and objectives. The ideal candidate must be an experienced event marketing professional with strong hands-on experience planning and executing events and programs that will continue to represent PayPal as a leading brand within the global payments industry. - Develop, plan and execute key events across multiple categories such as Music, Retail and B2B - Build and drive event marketing plans that map to company priorities, showcasing new technology & product innovations, which ultimately drive revenue and adoption for PayPal - Work closely with internal business teams to establish, meet and measure the marketing and business objectives of internal departments - Evangelize and represent the Global Experiential CoE across the PayPal business


Required Skills

- 6+ years in marketing, PR or strategic events ideally in online and or mobile technology space - 3+ years specific to event planning with hands on experience producing industry leading, multi-faceted events with multiple touch points for consumers and clients In house experience in a technology company preferred. - Passionate about event marketing and surprising and entertaining the attendees - Strong understanding of production - Ability to work with vendors to bring creative event ideas to life while maintaining control of budget - Strong communication skills – written and verbal - Product knowledge/technical proficiency - Ability to manage a significant workload and adhere to tight deadlines - Must possess superior organization, prioritization and time management skills - Self-directed, amiable, and composed under pressure - Nimble approach, adaptable to change in a fast paced environment - Strong work ethic and passionate about achieving results - Strong negotiation skills - People management experience - Demonstrated project management skills to oversee multiple projects with varying priorities and ability to develop, manage and document marketing processes and programs - Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - BA/BS in marketing or communications required
