The Sponsorship and Events Manager will lead a team that can proactively create, implement and direct integrated sponsorship and promotional concepts and initiate new platforms to generate incremental sales revenue, increase grassroots presence and work with key partners to increase market share. The Sponsorship and Events Manager plans the logistics, coordinates the technical aspects, and executes the proposed events, including, sales meetings, clinics, tournaments, school sanctioned games, in-store events, in-store athlete appearances and other events. The Sponsorship and Events Manager also manages and develops new sponsorship opportunities that help drive business and brand awareness. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: EVENT MANAGEMENT - Works with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, and external resources to develop creative and innovative event solutions for displays, onsite events and promotion, product launches and increasing onsite sales - Research venues, contacts, suppliers and contractors. Negotiates prices, hires and supervises onsite contractors when applicable. Books venues, entertainment and any necessary equipment and supplies. - Works with existing and new partners to create and manage an events schedule. - Facilitates daily requests for promotional support from sales, marketing as well as external partners. - Works with Brand Marketing to promote events and partnerships to maximize on investment. - Ensure high quality event activations that deliver a consistent brand message. BUDGET - Creates event budgets and timelines. Develops and assigns procedures for event asset requisitions, communications and execution to provide consistency, quality and timely turn-around. - Tracks and manages seasonality, variance and gap planning of grassroots, tradeshow, sponsorship and events budgets. CREATIVE - Develop new ideas which can be used to enhance our brand strength within the market. - Seek out new opportunities and partnerships to build demand for our brand. - Communicate with Brand Marketing team and outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns that integrate with event marketing. Ensure all aspects of experiential marketing are true to brand essence. RELATIONSHIPS - Develop and maintain strong relationships and dialogue with our grassroots and retail partners. - Research and create new opportunities with industry leaders to create dynamic alliances. SPONSORSHIPS - Solicit, negotiate, create and manage all aspects of event, retail and association sponsorships. - Manages contract fulfillment for any associated sponsorship agreements. EVENT TOURS - Recruit, hire and manage required summer tour representatives. - Maintain a thorough Summer Tour calendar. - Ensure that all events are in line with Warrior’s brand (i.e. authentic to the sport, well run, reputable) - Maximize consumer data collection through creative event activations.


Required Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree - 5+ years relevant experience. National experience and a strong working knowledge of all experiential marketing tactics, including guerilla marketing, mobile tours, trade shows, and pop up retail. - Experience in management of staff and agency partners. - Understanding of event management, logistics and budgeting. - Excellent Communication, Negotiation, and Organizational skills. - Good vision for overall branding. - Understanding of key lacrosse and hockey leagues / governing bodies a plus. - Playing experience is a plus.
