Trek’s Sports Marketing and Race Department is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications specialist to join our winning team. This person will work with the Director of Sports Marketing and the management of Trek teams to maximize communications and engagement with our teams and athletes across 7 cycling sports. By using Trek and Trek Factory Racing digital media channels, creating and delivering on-site activations the Sports Marketing Manager will connect the athletes and teams to Trek subsidiaries, retailers, partners and fans around the globe. The job is located at Trek's global headquarters just outside of Madison, Wisconsin but will require travel to team events around the world. Trek’s vision is to have the Number One teams and athletes in every sport we compete and to bring new and loyal fans along for the ride. The successful candidate will be highly organized, have excellent writing and communication skills and be savvy with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, and whatever else comes next. Experience in event management is helpful along with a passion for high performance sports and the ability to work with and understand the needs of high profile athletes. This person will also be in charge of the less high profile, but equally important National Sponsorship program run in conjunction with Trek Sales and Retailers.
