The Director will work alongside the Vice President to create and implement a strategic global Fashion strategy to enhance M•A•C’s visibility, credibility and presence during Fashion Weeks and throughout the year in order to protect and maintain the brands positioning in the Fashion industry.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside the Vice President, Global Fashion Relations to create and implement a global Fashion strategy that helps to protect the brands stake in fashion
  • Collaborate with the Vice President and Administrator to create and implement New York, London, Milan, Paris fashion week strategy and events that will elevate the brands presence
  • Develop and maintain global relationships with emerging and established designers, stylists, fashion/industry insiders
  • Establish and maintain global relationships with emerging and key makeup artists to help secure fashion shows and brand loyalty
  • Seek out strategic global partnerships with key fashion institutions to increase awareness, authority and buzz for the brand
  • Create Fashion Week awareness with consumers at counter and promote M∙A∙C’s backstage makeup authority to help drive sales
  • Work closely with the UK and Paris Fashion teams to identify brand appropriate opportunities and partner/support them on fashion initiatives
  • Attend select fashion shows in Milan, London, Paris and secondary fashion week market when needed. Meet and collaborate with local Public Relations teams to brainstorm and collaborate on fashion projects
  • Liaise with Online Marketing and Editorial teams to help develop fashion week programs that will drive awareness and engage M∙A∙C fans and consumers
  • Alongside Vice President and Administrator manage all Designer Product Collaborations and liaise with Creative, Marketing, Product Development departments and the Designer to ensure seamless execution of the partnership
  • Work closely with the Creative Department and Pro Store in creating the Fashion Week Global Trend Book
  • Liaise with Makeup Artistry and Global Communications to determine key shows for global face charts and seasonal trend book
  • Collaborate with Global Communications team on all fashion week projects both backstage and special events
  • Work with the legal team and manage all designer and Fashion Relations contracts
  • Help manage global Fashion Relations budget. Work closely with Finance


    Required Skills

  • College degree required
  • 8 years fashion, special events experience
  • Conversational French or Italian an asset
  • Diplomacy, team player and leadership skills required
  • Must be able to work in fast pace environment and prioritize/juggle numerous projects
  • Must have strong contacts within fashion industry
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to develop and manage plans and budgets
  • Outstanding verbal, written communications and organizational skills required
  • Must have the ability to manage and motivate junior team members
