Assist in the planning and execution of NASCAR program and special events, racing promotions and activities.
Work with SBD agencies and sales teams to execute retail and business-to-business promotions with customers such as Ace Hardware, Lowes, Do it Best, Grainger, Canadian Tire, Home Depot.
Assist in the planning and execution of marketing communications activities as it relates to NASCAR and other sports sponsorships including sales meetings, show car appearances, driver appearances, plant racing events.
Manage and execute all elements of Stanley Racing social media communications, including updating Stanley Racing website, DEWALT Racing website, Stanley Racing Twitter and Facebook.
Fulfill requests for marketing communication materials such as die cast cars; posters; hats; standees; calendars; activation kits.
Fulfill and execute the in-market and at-track activations including, VIP customer tours, relations with Joe Gibbs Racing and sponsor partners.
Activity requires up to twenty-five travel weekends during the NASCAR season.
Work to maximize our relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing and business to business sales opportunities with their Automotive Group.
Assist in the management of purchase orders and invoices for the above.
Assist with measuring and tracking ROI from NASCAR and related event marketing activities.
Assist in the creation and delivery of presentations for SBD sales and marketing leaders, executives, and customers.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, marketing, public relations, or related field).
3.0 or higher GPA upon graduation.
2 - 3 years experience in motorsports or sports marketing industry.
Strong organization, time management, and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Knowledge/Experience working with corporate brand marketing and corporate sponsorship programs.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Positive attitude, team player, works well under deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
Experience with social media planning, management, and tracking.
Interest in SBD products and services.
TRAVEL: Must be able to travel globally during and outside business hours, including up to 25 weekends during the NASCAR season.
