Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of NASCAR program and special events, racing promotions and activities.
  • Work with SBD agencies and sales teams to execute retail and business-to-business promotions with customers such as Ace Hardware, Lowes, Do it Best, Grainger, Canadian Tire, Home Depot.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing communications activities as it relates to NASCAR and other sports sponsorships including sales meetings, show car appearances, driver appearances, plant racing events.
  • Manage and execute all elements of Stanley Racing social media communications, including updating Stanley Racing website, DEWALT Racing website, Stanley Racing Twitter and Facebook.
  • Fulfill requests for marketing communication materials such as die cast cars; posters; hats; standees; calendars; activation kits.
  • Fulfill and execute the in-market and at-track activations including, VIP customer tours, relations with Joe Gibbs Racing and sponsor partners.
  • Activity requires up to twenty-five travel weekends during the NASCAR season.
  • Work to maximize our relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing and business to business sales opportunities with their Automotive Group.
  • Assist in the management of purchase orders and invoices for the above.
  • Assist with measuring and tracking ROI from NASCAR and related event marketing activities.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of presentations for SBD sales and marketing leaders, executives, and customers.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, marketing, public relations, or related field).
  • 3.0 or higher GPA upon graduation.
  • 2 - 3 years experience in motorsports or sports marketing industry.
  • Strong organization, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge/Experience working with corporate brand marketing and corporate sponsorship programs.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player, works well under deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with social media planning, management, and tracking. Interest in SBD products and services.
  • TRAVEL: Must be able to travel globally during and outside business hours, including up to 25 weekends during the NASCAR season.
