The Corporate Sponsorships Specialist will work as an integral part of the corporate sponsorship team to leverage sponsorship partners to increase brand awareness, maximize hospitality benefits and drive engagement throughout the communities we serve.
S/he assists in developing and implementing sponsorship marketing/activation efforts; develops and maintains cooperative, positive relationships with internal business units (corporate banking; retail banking; universities; human resources; accounting etc.) as well as our external partners. S/he will also be responsible for the oversight and management of Santander’s corporate hospitality and ticket program.
Build and maintain relationships with sponsorship partners
Aid in the development and execution of sponsorship activation to maximize branding, consumer engagement, team member involvement and community involvement.
Manage the development and execution of sponsorship related events and unique hospitality experience for corporate clients and team members
Support the development of the long term sponsorship platform with integrated marketing strategy
Conduct research on sponsorship landscape to identify new potential opportunities
Work with legal, compliance, and brand team to ensure that all sponsorship partners are compliant and within brand standards
Manage local retail sponsorship process working with Regional Presidents and local teams to ensure local marketing dollars are being maximized.
Work with Santander at Work team, and other business units as needed, to coordinate and maximize on-site tabling opportunities with partners
Manage additional sponsorship and marketing related projects as needed
Bachelors degree or equivalent of 5 years experience
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Ability to travel as required
Creative and proactive problem solver
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Experience working in a project-based environment with emphasis on meeting deadlines
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work the hours necessary to meet marketing goals including occasional evenings and weekends
