As a Marketing Events and Sponsorships Manager, you are passionate about bringing the brand vision to life by managing and executing strategic events, sponsorships and other initiatives. You will work with the VP of Corporate Marketing and Global Citizenship to manage internal and external event activities from strategic conception and budgeting through execution and post-event analysis. You will be tasked with developing events, sponsorships, tours and shows that align with business and marketing objectives. In this role, you will work across the marketing team to plan, create, and deliver the right material at the right time to the right audience. You will help develop strategies and create and execute plans for industry and internal events, webinars, virtual launches, corporate sponsorships, and company-branded events. This role will provide you with the opportunity to influence brand perception and awareness by engaging with stakeholders within our community. You will be a key member of a high-growth team, scaling marketing to be a high-performing organization within Flextronics.

  • Develop and execute an effective event strategy for the company, including client events and tours, industry shows, and partner events.
  • Build a sponsorship strategy to achieve the company’s business goals.
  • Assess sponsorship opportunities, manage partner relationships and consult internally on prospective sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Develop calendar of events around key marketing initiatives.
  • Manage events from conception to completion, including all planning elements (pre-event organization, management of budget, execution onsite, including management of staff, presentation of final cost analysis, debrief/follow-up survey).
  • Event Reporting (including managing a budget, staying within strict parameters, and quantitative and qualitative analysis of event effectiveness).
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of processes and policies. Manage preferred vendor relationships to maximize cost savings to the company.
  • Follow best practice initiatives and maintain external benchmarking and industry profile.
  • Adhere to Legal and Compliance guidelines in relation to event matters.


    Required Skills

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate marketing, communications or related field.
  • Experience working for a global organization.
  • Experience working with a marketing team to develop holistic event and sponsorship strategies and plans.
  • Experience in planning events, ranging in size from 10 to 1,000+ attendees.
  • Significant team management skills in a corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to confidently manage an event on an end-to-end basis.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to effectively multi-task.
  • High level of flexibility and creativity; ability to bring outside perspectives into the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically, execute quality output under tight deadlines and demanding timing.
  • Proven strong contract negotiating skills and supplier management.
  • Superior oral and written communications and analytical skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
