The Project Manager, Corporate Giving & Community Development is responsible for strategizing, managing and executing the corporate outdoor exploration initiatives as well as CSR initiatives. As one of the four key strategic drivers of The North Face business, outdoor exploration is dedicated to bringing in new outdoor enthusiasts and customers to our business. The Project Manager is responsible for bringing new end-users into The North Face family through key partnerships, events, and programs that will reach new demographics and communities previously un-targeted by traditional TNF Marketing. The Project Manager oversees all outdoor exploration programs and the integration of the initiative into cross-function business partners and with external partners. Establish control-related standards and procedures. Play a lead role in bringing The North Face’s corporate responsibility values to life for internal and external stakeholders, specifically in the areas of community engagement and environmental responsibility. Collaborate with Global Marketing and Corporate Communications to promote key CSR messages through relevant channels and values marketing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assists in development and activation of overall corporate outdoor exploration strategy according to corporation’s business goals and initiatives. Delivers programs on time and on budget.
  • Develop and manage network of key partnerships to build 1:1 relationships/connections and assist the brand in reaching into new communities and engaging a broader audience with the brand.
  • Develop and manage the development, marketing, and execution programs which will provide funding to partners who have illustrated success with connecting people to the outdoors.
  • Initiative Impact: Manages, tracks, and reports annually on key initiative's activations and successes. Create new strategies around planning for continued success and growth of the programs.
  • Communicates and curates creative assets for internal and external stakeholders of program accomplishments and programs. Works with Brand and PR teams to create OE story telling opportunities
  • Represents Outdoor Exploration on task forces and with cross-functional team members.
  • Develop and manage overarching corporate responsibility messaging platform through partnership with brand marketing and consumer insights teams.
  • Responsible for collaborating closely with sustainability and outdoor exploration teams to ensure programs translate into powerful external stories.
  • Partner closely with all marketing functions to ensure values-based messages are integrated into all relevant external messaging and touch points.
  • Manages budget and administrative needs as necessary.
  • Manages agencies, vendors, OE ambassadors and contractors for program and event activation.
  • Supervises contracts and implementation of cause marketing programs cross functionally.


    Required Skills

    Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years or education and experience.
  • 4 years in outdoor industry experience preferred.
  • 4 years in direct project management work desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills both written, verbal. Ability to communicate at high strategic levels around initiatives.
  • Has knowledge of the non-profit landscape.
  • High level of social networking and social media experience.
  • Proven ability to accurately manage a budget.
  • Proven ability to manage and work well with others to successfully complete on time projects.
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to manage outside vendors and programs.
  • Strong presentation skills to gain support and buy in for programs.
  • Experience activating large scale events.
