The Mitchell & Ness PR & Events Manager will support the Mitchell & Ness marketing department. This individual will pitch and secure key seasonal stories to brand relevant pubs as well as drive events national events around key product collections and deliveries.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with all members of marketing, design and sales to define key licensed and branded stories
  • Build a strong network of brand ambassadors and influencers that act as an extension of the brand
  • Work with PR and creative agencies to build seasonal toolkits as well as direct and brief new collections
  • Run local and national events at tradeshows, flagship stores and sports events
  • Own relationships with national media
  • Run and organize tradeshow logistics
  • Manage a list of celebrities, athletes and entertainers for seeding opportunities
  • Build internal marketing and PR strategy for PR pitching as well as ecomm (both owned and wholesale)
  • Work with sales to evaluate which wholesale accounts are worth supporting
  • Work with league (NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB) PR teams to build cohesive strategies and gain impressions


    Required Skills

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of people
  • Must be proactive in nature with the drive to take initiative on special projects and tasks
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Adobe Suite is preferred
  • Strong cross functional capabilities between marketing, design, sales, and ecomm
  • Comfortable with travel – up to 30%


    Qualifications

  • Strong Microsoft Office abilities specifically - Excel, PowerPoint & Access
  • Good organizational ability
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge/experience in the sporting goods industry is a strong asset
