We are looking for a dynamic Marketing professional to collaborate with our Partner Development team in developing strategies and executing initiatives. This is a hands-on role that will require an understanding of financial targets and goals to effectively develop marketing materials. Our Director of Partner Marketing will have a strong knowledge of marketplace challenges and opportunities in order to ensure marketing programs are executed within scope, budget and support marketing objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales through the TrueCar partner relationships
  • Work with Partner Development Managers to increase marketing programs with existing affinity partners
  • Develop strong relationship with marketing counterparts at partner companies
  • Develop seasonal programs to drive sales at appropriate times of year
  • Establish, maintain and spend appropriate budget to drive results
  • Accurately track results and data; analyze data to discover positive ROI programs
  • Periodically update marketing team, leadership team and company on partner marketing programs and results


    Required Skills

  • BA or BS degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience developing and implementing marketing/advertising programs, with a significant focus on project management, online and offline marketing and acquisition
  • Proven track record of conceptualizing and implementing new, successful marketing programs
  • Experience in partner marketing and/or management preferred
  • Specific e-commerce category experience preferred but not required
  • Applicants should possess strong strategic marketing skills, excellent knowledge of the Internet, superior negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • The successful candidate will be a self-starting, motivated individual willing to own successful channel execution and revenue generation for the company
  • Experience managing and developing junior members of a team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Team player who is equally adept at strategic and tactical assignments
  • Understanding of funnel-based business drivers and models is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical skills are a must – ability to incorporate data in plans and strategies, identify key metrics in campaign development, collect data and do executive level analysis
  • Superior ability to craft effective creative briefs and messaging strategies, distilling essential insights into clear, concise direction
