The PR & Events Coordinator position is a full-time employment opportunity for a highly organized, creative and dynamic individual to support FIJI Water Events and Public Relations efforts as an integral part of the Marketing Team. Reporting to the West Coast PR & Events Manager, the Coordinator will assist in the development, management and execution of ongoing FIJI Water PR initiatives and influencer outreach. The PR & Events Coordinator will also manage day-to-day logistics (product orders and delivery; budget tracking, etc.), and work to conceptualize and manage meaningful brand activations at special events across the entertainment and lifestyle platforms. We are looking for someone with entertainment agency experience (PR, talent or management) that thrives in a multifunctional role.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day PR administrative tasks including but not limited to: continuous media coverage tracking and clipping, weekly media coverage reports, creation of various recap reports and ongoing updates to media impressions reports
Maintain day-to-day communication within the influencer/celebrity outreach program and evaluate new opportunities with the PR Manager; developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with key influencers, partners and representatives is a must
Maintain day-to-day management of the FIJI Water product placement agency by reviewing new integration opportunities and evaluating opportunities with the PR Manager to expand and build on current integrations
Develop and maintain positive and engaging relationships with media (print, broadcast, online, blogs, consumer, lifestyle)
Assist in research and writing PR materials
Work with the Events & PR Manager to identify PR-driven special event opportunities and strategic partnerships
Ideal candidate will have a college degree and 2 years of experience in the entertainment/PR field with a background in luxury brand communications, public relations, talent relations and/or event marketing
A highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a great deal of autonomy and organization
Media relations experience with contacts in the lifestyle, fitness, entertainment and consumer spheres
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and deadlines, and ability to balance/prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 20% travel
Willingness to get hands dirty -- the job does include some elements of delivery, set-up and breakdown of product and other event materials
Competent knowledge of all MS Office programs, media monitoring services and clipping, IMDB Pro, etc.
