Responsible for account management and activation support of sponsorship relationships for NRG and the NRG family of companies. The primary focus is to effectively manage the execution of benefits associated with these relationships and to work cross-functionally to develop programs that enhance brand awareness in these communities and create retail acquisition / retention opportunities.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in management and execution of benefits associated with assigned sponsorship marketing relationships.
  • Assist in planning and execution of promotional activities associated with these sponsorships to create opportunities for internal sales departments. This includes but not limited to:
  • Onsite activation
  • Determine and manage on-site execution plan for upcoming sponsorship activities
  • Community Activities
  • Develop opportunities with sponsorship properties that positively position NRG as a supportive member of the community
  • Coordination of sponsorship assets to ensure they align with brand message
  • Coordinate with internal business units and sales teams to develop marketing promotions that use sponsorship assets, including tickets, suites, VIP trips and merchandise. These promotions are used to drive customer activity such as acquisition, retention and sign ups for on-line account management.
  • Coordinate use of high value sponsorship assets (tickets, merchandise, hospitality opportunities) related to the major sports marketing properties with internal business groups throughout the company.
  • Provide support in planning and execution of strategic corporate events
  • Collaborate with Public Relations to develop events related to sponsorships that garner positive media attention


    Required Skills

    Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college required.


    Experience: 1-2 years experience in marketing, promotions and/or project management. Experience in sports marketing and events management preferred.

  • Personal computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SAP and Access.


    Physical Requirements: Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.


    Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Occasional travel.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
