The Marketing Events Manager, CPG, will define, articulate and drive a unique, compelling vision for demos, events, sampling and brand experiences that drive awareness and trial of our retail products and build affinity for the Revolution Foods brand in key geographies. This position is based in our Oakland Home Office and reports to the Brand Director.


Requirements


Essential Functions

  • Create, manage and execute all aspects of a yearly grassroots marketing calendar.
  • Work with Brand, Creative, and Marketing Directors to set vision for events, demos, and sampling programs.
  • Identify event and partnership opportunities to reach our consumer target, deliver on our strategic goals and strengthen our brand.
  • Identify and facilitate collaborative partnerships with like-minded brands to add value to demos and events.
  • Identify and foster strategic relationships with retailers and non-profits that enhance brand experiences and support company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop event planning timelines. Ensure resources and all materials are planned in advance when possible.
  • Manage and ensure appropriate allocation of resources and negotiate the greatest value from agencies, suppliers, venues and partners.
  • Develop, track and report on demo and event metrics, optimize approach based off results.
  • Develop and maintain systematic approach for managing event inventory.
  • Hire, train and supervise internal and external brand ambassadors to support at events in key geographies throughout the year.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and excellence and influence staff and agency partners toward the same level of execution.
  • Regularly attend and lead events in home region and oversee execution and manage event teams both locally and in key geographies.


    Required Skills

    Relevant Experience

  • Demonstrated success in driving sales through grassroots strategy and efforts for a food/beverage company.
  • Hired, trained and led a brand ambassador team (full-time, part-time and/or contractors).
  • 3+ years' experience in event planning or experiential marketing.
  • 1+ year supervisory experience.

  • Proven ability to successfully manage time whether at HQ or in the field.
  • Strong understanding of the mindset and social behavior of parents with K-12 children, and associated youth culture.
  • Know the difference between creating a memorable brand experience vs. a simply transactional interaction with a potential consumer.
  • Broad network of contacts to produce events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in related field.


    Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel by car or air, etc. (up to 50% including weekends).
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for day-long events.
