Reporting to the Managing Director of Sports and Kid Power Partnerships, the Manager of Sports Partnerships will be responsible for assisting with USF’s efforts to engage with athletes, teams, and leagues to advocate for children in need and to mobilize resources to support UNICEF's efforts. The Manager will also be responsible for the web presence of USF’s Sports Partnerships efforts and coordinating sports world support of UNICEF Kid Power.


Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):

  • Support the cultivation and management of a portfolio of key sports partnerships and help foster best-in-class stewardship and reporting practices to ensure the long term retention and growth of sports partnerships
  • Creatively engage key stakeholders in the sports world to support UNICEF Kid Power and assist in leading national expansion
  • Manage the internet presence of USF Sports Partnerships – including updating content on the website, drafts for social media and creation of blog entries and program recaps
  • Maintain calendar and ensure sufficient follow-up with every athlete, team and league in USF Sports Partnerships portfolio
  • Explore grant and donation opportunities from the sports and health fields to enable the growth of UNICEF Kid Power revenues
  • Serve as an internal and external champion for USF’s sports partnerships work and along with the Managing Director, represent USF at internal and external meetings and events


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the sports or non-profit industry; direct experience in the realm of sports philanthropy is preferred
  • Direct experience in program implementation and a demonstrated track record of seeing projects through to successful completion
  • Experience creating and executing fundraising initiatives is preferred
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to children’s issues and international development
  • Preference for candidate that has existing contacts in the sports world and will come in ready to engage new athletes, teams and/or leagues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment under multiple deadlines, with “grace under pressure”
  • Strong sense of team work and collaboration, and demonstrated ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally
  • Must demonstrate USF Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
