The Sports Activation Specialist is an integral part of the team and will lead marketing planning and for specific Team sports. Specialist is responsible to create, drive, evaluate and report on annual plans within the core sport communities to include partner organizations and facilities, brick and mortar and online retail, Team Captains, Sport Board and Ambassadors. In addition, the Specialist collaborates with Direct , Sales, Digital and Creative to bring planned initiatives to life. Sport-specific assignments to be assigned upon hire and will be a mix of these sports (Football, Basketball, Soccer, Diamond).

The Sports Activation Specialist must be highly organized and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Lead development of integrated marketing campaigns to create demand for SKLZ products and programs
Collaborate with Creative to brief assets and traffic projects
Proactively work with Sales to support Core and Direct Marketing as well as ensure a strong presence at Regionals and NSG’s.
Identify, plan and activate trade, professional and consumer events to support core sport strategy
Captain Marketing and Trade Show event activations, as needed, in Team sports.
Develop strategy and own executions of sports marketing relationships with Pro Athletes and Sport partner organizations (teams, leagues, clubs, etc.)
Manage budget for core sport events and collateral
Collaborate with Digital Marketing and PR to capture content, social media content and ideate stories to drive the brand in Team sports.
Proactively share assets through Marketing partners and track uptake
Collaborate with Category Manager to increase product knowledge and confidently communicate USP with nuances partners
Responsible for proactively creating marketing stories to support Sales sell-in decks
Evangelize, showcase, and educate customers and potential customers about SKLZ training solutions
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field plus a minimum 1 year retail, sales, customer service, coaching or teaching experience (or combination thereof) or 2+ additional years experience in lieu of degree
Strong connections to and knowledge of the competitive athlete and its influencers
Demonstrates knowledge of the marketplace as it relates to consumer trends and needs
Understands business issues, finds creative ways to solve problems and make sound decisions that benefit SKLZ
Understands the existing integrated marketing process and maintains appropriate relationships with key players
Must have a deep passion for the SKLZ brand and sports
Must have the ability to travel up to 40% of the time
Strong verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations
Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
Ability to work in a diverse group
Ability to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources
Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism
