Initiates, manages and executes the logistics of global events and major sporting activities such as client meetings, golf tournaments, special sports promotions, etc. Plans and Develops event content for seminars/conferences. Assist in developing event and sports marketing strategies. Provide operational support for event team including mobile App development, registration site management and development and ROI reporting and accountability.


General Duties and Responsibilities


Including but not limited to:

  • Collaborates with corporate communications, marketing managers and business line leaders to ensure cohesive execution of sports and event promotion, messaging and lead-generation.
  • Works with Subject matter experts to develop event specific content and presentations including providing PowerPoint support.
  • Manages sub-projects and cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and timely execution of event planning efforts. Escalates issues with urgency to stakeholders.
  • Communicates effectively with event affiliates from pre-show kickoff through post-show reporting.
  • Manages all aspects of company events and sports planning, execution and follow-up activities and maintains related calendars and schedules.
  • Manages on-site event activity and provides required support as needed.
  • Recommends and plays a key role in determining the logistics, communications and related activities that support company conferences and meetings.
  • Identifies effective processes and procedures to ensure smooth and professional sporting events and meetings.
  • Develops and recommends agendas, speakers and venues for conferences and meetings.
  • Assists with the creation and responsible for maintaining budgets for each event
  • Assists manager with executive level communication and reporting
  • Coordinates meeting logistics, agenda, speakers, communications, etc.
  • Coordinates collateral and presentations for scheduled events and tradeshows.
  • Manages the integration of multi-levels of resources, i.e. presenters, sales teams, supporting logistics team
  • Performs post event measurements
  • Other related duties assigned as needed


    Required Skills

    Education Requirements:


    Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university, or equivalent work experience. CMP certification is a plus. Sports marketing background a plus.


    General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 4+ years of corporate event and tradeshow planning
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted and deadline-oriented environment within a heavily regulated industry.
  • Experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale events and sporting hospitality events from the envisioning stage to successful implementation.
  • Understands Mobile Application development
  • Has a strong understanding or has worked with PPT, C-Vent, Eloqua and/or TicketManager
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal/conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and visual communications skills
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of people (internal clients and external vendors) and processes to achieve desired outcomes
  • Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency to operate independently
  • Builds and maintains productive working relationships throughout the FIS enterprise and with outside vendors.
