The Sr. Manager of Local Marketing & Events is responsible for developing comprehensive event and localized marketing programs that enhance the brand and drive omni-channel sales and traffic. Candidate will lead cross-functional teams and leverage internal and external marketing channels to bring projects to life. This leader will develop the strategic direction and process creation of multiple events and integrated local marketing strategies.
Develop Strategic Event & Local Marketing Plans Event Marketing
Acts as collaborator, advisor and counsel to leaders on event strategy development, with clear linkages to business needs, brand positioning and company vision – assists in developing/driving the “why we do what we do.”
Develops and manages project prioritization and workload allocation in alignment with company growth initiatives.
Provides subject matter expertise regarding the brand strategy and future state of brand.
Stand-up consistent process for recapping, measuring ROI, and consistent marketing contributions for all event executions to drive future strategy.
Seeks and encourages collaboration and synergies across a portfolio of brands, (i.e. Geek Squad, Pac Sales, Magnolia, Exclusive Brands, and Multiple-Vendors etc.).
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) List in order of importance
Integrate with field leadership to analyze market specific business needs and develop marketing tactics to address opportunities.
Identify synergies to integrate local geo-targeting solutions into existing media plans.
Create marketing briefs (including situation/overview, consumer mindset/local marketing analytics, business/marketing objectives, creative coordination/direction, vehicles to consider, target audience).
Develop pilot and scale plans including the marketing strategy, marketing communications, and test/measurement plans.
Team Management & Development
May oversee the performance and hiring of 1-2 Event Managers.
Creates a team oriented environment that fosters employee development in their marketing career.
Oversee event agency partnerships. Activities include contract reviews, monthly status reviews, invoice/budgeting and ensuring marketing success.
Execute Local Marketing & Event Marketing Plans
Responsible for engaging cross functional partners to ensure seamless horizontal integration of the plan. Cross functional partners may include: legal, communications/PR, external agencies, creative, media, business leaders, merchants, vendors and store operations.
Build marketing plan against the allocated budget. May develop Statement of Work and work with procurement to execute (RFP, RFQ).Ultimately, responsible for managing entire event marketing and partial local marketing budgets.
Represent the Best Buy Brand (face of Best Buy to executives, celebrities, consumers, vendors, agencies)
