Sunrun's Marketing team is seeking a driven, creative, results-oriented Brand Manager to lead Sunrun’s Media and Partnership programs. This person must have a strong ability to manage media planning & buying for both online and offline channels; Sponsorships, TV, radio, print, OOH etc. In addition, this person will lead management of Sunrun’s partner marketing program working with affiliates, associations and fellow travelers building marketing campaigns that support both Sunrun’s and the partners respective goals. Experience in multi-channel creative production, working in a cross-functional team, marketing communications and/or brand management a must. This person will lead communications planning across a fast moving fun-loving marketing organization. What you'll do as part of the team:

  • Communication Planning: Develop comprehensive communication plans across mass, social and acquisition media that generates awareness and fuels leads across all of Sunrun’s acquisition touch points.
  • Media Agency Management: Manage Sunrun’s mass media planning and buying agency partners working with them to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Reporting: Responsible for working with internal and agency partners to report on Sunrun’s media effectiveness and providing a cross-functional view as to how media is performing at all parts of the acquisition marketing funnel.
  • Sponsorships: Manage and further develop Sunrun’s Sponsorship Program, with a focus on maximizing ROI by insuring Sponsorships a fully integrated in Sunrun’s marketing and sales programs.
  • Partner Marketing: Proactively source new marketing partners and work closely with Business Development to develop and execute strategic partner marketing programs. Focus on building strong partner relationships by understanding their Marketing goals, business and how Sunrun can help drive their success. Make certain that all partner marketing touch points align with Sunrun marketing vision, plan and brand--guarantee integration across channels (offline and online).
  • Production: As needed in development of partner, sponsorship or other brand team programs manage the production of various brand assets.
  • Brand Management: Ensure communications developed internally, via agencies, freelancers or strategic partners maintains brand integrity, consistency and compliance with visual and verbal ID.
  • Metrics: Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all program activities.


    Required Skills

  • 5-8 years of related media/communication planning experience, either in ad agency and/or client-side marketing roles.
  • Experience in managing media plans and buys. Emphasis in local and direct response media.
  • Experience in evaluating and managing sports sponsorships.
  • Ability to drive creative projects from brief through production
  • Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced marketing activities, including work performed by agencies/consultants.
  • Proven track record partnering with cross-functional teams and leading successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate across all stakeholder groups.
  • Must be a self-starter and have a strong ability to be adaptable, prioritize, perform and deliver on deadline in a fast paced environment.
  • Direct experience managing, building, and maintaining national brands preferred.
