As the Global eSports Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing eSports program strategies, event productions, eSports team sponsorships, and Consumer Electronics retail/etail partnership initiatives. In this role you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to promote Crucial Ballistix DRAM and Crucial SSDs and generate enthusiasm for the brand within the eSports and broader gaming audiences across the globe. The ideal candidate for this position is an avid gamer who has a comprehensive knowledge of the eSports landscape and community.
Manage relationships with major eSports teams, eSports activation partners, and gaming technology companies to create and execute co-marketing and cross-promotional campaigns.
Design, deploy, and manage communications strategy for all relevant gaming and Esports tactics and
programs, including public relations, advertising, social, web, and event presence.
Create and own program roadmap, plans, and processes, event and editorial calendars, status updates, and budgets.
Manage community promotions, sales promotions, event sponsorships, and content placement within the community.
Negotiate contracts with marketing partners, venues, Esports teams, and vendors.
Act as the brand ambassador at relevant events and within relevant communities.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the video gaming audience and overall landscape with a deep focus on eSports industry trends, game titles, gamer talent, league operations.
Partner with brand, sales, and marketing stakeholders to integrate eSports program elements within their business plans and operations.
Manage global budget and continuously evaluate program ROI
Successful applicants for this position will have:
A passion for gaming/eSports
Knowledge of the PC gaming industry
3-5 years of marketing experience
Capacity to work in a team environment
An outgoing, energetic personality
Ability to engage with media and act as corporate spokesperson
Trade show-event experience
Excellent writing and communication skills
Familiarity with DRAM and SSD product categories
Experience in negotiation and budgeting
Ability to drive planning, schedules, estimates, budgeting, and status reports
Attention to detail plus excellent organizational skills
Experience in global marketing (preferred but not required)
Ecommerce and e-tail knowledge (preferred but not required)
Ability to travel outside the United States
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and work experience
