The Sponsorship Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, negotiating, activating and measuring marketing sponsorships and driving opportunities for consumer and commercial revenue generation for Citizens Bank. Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Direct sponsorship evaluation, negotiation and activation on marketing sponsorships.
  • Continuously evaluate key sponsorships and ensure that they deliver appropriate return on investment (ROI). Ensure rigorous tracking and measurement through use of Sponsorium tool. Measure return on objectives (ROO); consumer and commercial activation (leads to sales), hospitality/business results, colleague engagement and community involvement and provide thought leadership on maximizing sponsorships.
  • Serve as an expert and resource to Citizens Bank business lines in identifying new sponsorship opportunities, evaluating and measuring them, and implementing creative and integrated activation plans.
  • Develop activation plans for key sponsorships to engage customers, prospects and create unique experiences.
  • Work closely with internal teams (digital, media, etc.) and outside partners to ensure sponsorships that are on strategy and on brand. Increase brand visibility and activation/lead generation through sponsorships. Leverage sponsorship opportunities to maximize brand, support business objectives and drive increased favorability and consideration that leads to revenue.
  • Work closely with Public Affairs teams to integrate community programs into sponsorships that demonstrate that Citizens is committed to serving the communities in which we live and work, resulting in stronger communities and positioning Citizens as a business leader.
  • Effectively manage vendor management for strict adherence to policies and regulation. Adhere to policies and procedures designed to meet regulatory obligations and ensure fair outcomes for our customers; prompt identification, reporting and remediation of non-adherence.
  • Ensure that Vendor Contracts (VCPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) are uploaded to system, monthly risk testing assessments, reporting and other compliance training is completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Ensure that all expenses are within the team’s established budget for the year, and are paid in a timely manner.
  • Leverage internal resources to manage risk, streamline processes and maximize efficiencies.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years sponsorship/experiential marketing experience.


    Other Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and achieve consensus amongst stakeholders of differing perspectives.
  • Ability to represent corporate affairs internally and Citizens externally, and provide strategic insight and counsel on group objectives and success metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
