The Propel brand is in need of an Associate Marketing Manager to work on this fast-paced and rapidly expanding $300M brand within the Gatorade portfolio. This position will focus on brand-building within the fitness eco-system, creating robust marketing plans surrounding three key pillars: influencer marketing, experiential / grassroots marketing and specialty channel development. This position will be an integral position within the Propel brand team reporting into the Marketing Director with high-level exposure to senior leadership.


Key responsibilities include:


Influencer Marketing:

  • Assist in the development of the Propel influencer program, build an engagement strategy and manage day-to-day relationships with key fitness influencers in regional markets and on a national level.
  • Create influencer content plans and develop a work process to capture and filter onto Propel social channels.
  • Assist with partnership activation at core fitness conferences.


    Experiential Marketing Strategy and Execution:

  • Collaborate with agency partners to create engaging grassroots events for the Propel brand.
  • Support grassroots marketing efforts and experiences with existing partners and generate ideas for new potential partners based on the over-arching brand partnership strategy.
  • Attend key events to oversee execution of Propel brand messaging and ensure flawless execution of brand elements and sampling efforts.
  • Create messaging points customized for key events and ensure efforts are amplified via social channels.


    Fitness Specialty Channel Development:

  • Oversee sell-in efforts and provide marketing support for potential regional specialty channel accounts (e.g. boutique fitness) and support efforts from the broader PepsiCo sales team on national accounts.
  • Generate recommendation and execute a go-to-market system for specialty fitness channel customers by tapping into the broader e-commerce work stream.
  • Vet point-of-sale and product replenishment systems to enable availability at points-of-sweat.
  • Assist in the development of a specialty channel sales team.
  • Create marketing plans to support product placement and trial within new accounts.


    Additional Responsibilities / Experiences:

  • Regional marketing strategy in key fitness markets.
  • Budget Management for the focus areas.
  • Partner with PR and agency partners to develop annual operating plans across key focus areas.


    Required Skills

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Confident communicator and highly skilled relationship curator.
  • Strong problem solving skills and sound business judgment; ability to anticipate issues and resolve them.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking.
  • Highly proficient in Power Point with Excel knowledge.
  • MBA Preferred
  • Sales or Experiential marketing experience a plus
