The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Activation is responsible for project managing the execution of strategic partnership programs, sponsorship deliverables and client and event needs, as well as helping to scout, pitch and secure sponsorship revenue.


Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pitch, and secure new partners for Warner-owned events, paid digital campaigns, strategic in-kind marketing campaigns, branded content, product placement, and one off events.
  • Develop strategies for new sponsorships, events, and strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Compile sponsorship decks/presentations for various businesses and brands.
  • Customer liaison for all partner needs to execute on all agreed sponsorship elements; day to day contact with partners.
  • Liaise with in-market, local business owners, event coordinators, production companies, and volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain all details, coordination and logistics for numerous events and event brands, including (but not limited to) travel, artist services, sponsor services, etc.
  • Manage multiple event budgets and adhere to set plans within budget.
  • Manage on-site visibility at events and all onsite event coordination.
  • Provide customer service to clients in a professional manner.
  • Execute on all partner needs at external events and internally such as sourcing images, copy, mailings, asset delivery.
  • Negotiate agreement terms and deliverables for all partnerships with guidance from internal legal counsel.
  • Manage publicity needs to promote sponsorships, artists, new business contracts.
  • Compile and share reporting and tracking metrics for all sponsorship, events, management & new business revenue sales and initiatives.
  • Work with internal content team to develop branded content ideas.
  • Procure product placement for official music videos when needed.
  • Secure partners for Warner-owned events throughout the year including CMA After Party, Pickin’ on the Patio series, ACM After Party, and others that may arise.
  • Activate partnerships secured by outside agencies when needed.
  • Act as a partner to outside agencies.
  • Develop relationships with counterparts at Atlantic and Warner Bros. Records.
  • Act as consultant of mainstream partners for Word Entertainment team.
  • Support all efforts to meet sponsorship goals set by executive management team.
  • Provide sponsorship content / images for communications to customers & staff.
  • Assess and plan new events and event brand development.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor as other departmental opportunities arise. Assist with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects occurring in the department at any given time


    Required Skills

    Required Competencies/Skills: Must have general computer skills and a working knowledge of both Mac and Microsoft Office software programs. must be technologically literate, especially with Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Flash, PHP, mySQL, and with programs such as Photoshop. Drupal knowledge is a bonus.


    Must have thorough working knowledge of online / direct to consumer best practices. Must be a creative, innovative thinker with ability to translate analysis and ideas into actionable strategy. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally. Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be self–motivated with demonstrated ability to manage marketing plans and drive sales results in a complex work environment. Must be creative and personable.


    Special Requirements/Preferences: Must have knowledge of sales, event logistics, production and execution, sponsorships and marketing. Must have experience making sales presentations. Must have basic technical knowledge and experience with HTML. Must have Photoshop and design skills.


    Experience: 3-5 years experience in sales, marketing, and digital content-based marketing.


    Education Required/Preferred: Bachelor’s degree preferred
