The Director of Global Events develops and drives the brand event strategy across the domestic and international landscape (in partnership with regional teams). He/She is responsible for developing and evolving scalable event formats in support of the overarching brand and business objectives


The Events team’s mandate is to support retail and wholesale channels, new product launches, PR events and global flagship openings for both Tory Burch and Tory Sport. The Director of Global Events will drive cross-functional collaboration with support partners including PR, Visual Merchandising, CRM, digital and social media in the process of planning and communicating results of all Tory Burch Global events.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as point person and oversee strategy/execution for all Tory Burch and Tory Sport events. Event types include: - Flagship Openings - Retail Events (Trunk Show, Selling/Styling Events) - Market Launch, Events - Charitable Special Events - Wholesale Events and Licensing product/launch Events
  • Oversee event production and logistics for the above events from concept to execution, including oversight of 3rd party local vendors and partners (PR/Marketing agencies, event production companies and other event vendors).
  • Pitch event plans and strategies to Senior Executives and ensure top level alignment.
  • Oversee the development of all scalable guidelines and templates to enable consistent event execution globally
  • Work with Senior Managers to strategically align with PR, celebrity, styling and visual teams to ensure event execution is within brand guidelines including but not limited to: venue, décor, entertainment, technical installation, collateral, guest list and hospitality.
  • Provide direction to Event Manager and Associates who will lead quarterly event strategy meetings with Domestic & International regions (US/Canada, Asia, Latin America, Travel Retail, Europe and Middle East) calibrated with seasonal marketing and PR strategy and market launches.
  • Report out on event successes / challenges and share regional intelligence globally across all markets and channels.
  • Liaise with International teams to research potential international event partners and share event successes with all regions to encourage new and innovative events.
  • Update International events manual quarterly and all tools and templates and communicate out to all partners.
  • Partner with web team to ensure we are leveraging online medium to creatively and strategically communicate/support all events and partnerships.
  • Maximize event coverage on the Tory Burch blog.
  • Act as brand ambassador both internally and externally.
  • Elevate, Globalize and Streamline current events program
  • Increase ROI of all global retail & wholesale events
  • Increase digital/social engagement of all events in alignment with digital brand strategy
  • Develop scalable guidelines & tools to ensure consistent execution across markets
