The ideal candidate has digital media sales experience with highly complex deal structures and has built-in network of senior-level marketers and agency relationships. This individual will partner with brands in the entertainment and electronics verticals to creatively design marketing strategies that expose the Gilt member to new and exciting experiences and products while meeting the marketing needs of our respective partners.
The variety of initiatives requires strong partnership with other Gilt departments such as Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, Legal, Finance, Creative, and Operations; as a result, this role will afford tremendous exposure to many areas of a multi-faceted and rapidly growing online business. The role will prove challenging, demanding and fast-paced, requiring juggling numerous projects and responsibilities. To succeed, he/she must be energetic, a team player and eager to jump in with both feet.
Responsibilities:
Source and close media fee partnerships, both short-term and long-term in the entertainment and electronics verticals
Own and manage specific categories and/or agency relationships
Create programming and marketing plans that include, but are not limited to: native digital content, event sponsorships, curated event series, and retail voucher sales
Represent Gilt at conferences and external client meetings
Conduct analyses of key areas for business growth and expansion
Develop and execute customer acquisition strategies through partner marketing
Manage approval and closure of partnerships by liaising between invested internal teams
Assist with creation of partner pitches and internal presentations and reports
Organize pipeline and revenue projections for management
3-5 years experience selling digital media
Knowledge of key industries, most importantly consumer electronics and entertainment (film/TV) as well as retail, CPG, alcohol, automotive, travel, and more
Understanding of how digital agencies operate and interact with brand marketers
Expert in building and maintaining strategic partnerships and internal/external relationships
