Drive local and regional sports sponsorships, predominantly aligned with the Central Business Unit. (example properties include various NFL, MLB, MLS and NHL teams) Responsibilities include planning and execution, driving marketing sponsorship integration across brand strategies and tactics, through collaboration with Sales and Marketing partners. Manage internal and external sports sponsorship and business stakeholders.


The position is based in our Plano, Texas headquarters, with 25% travel.


Position Responsibilities:


Business Objectives and Strategy: Support delivery of business volume and profit objectives. Assess sports sponsorship opportunities for strategic brand fit, or local Sales needs.

  • Drive sports sponsorship planning meetings for the sponsorships you directly manage (Example properties include various NFL, MLB, MLS and NHL teams), and provide fact-based POVs and recommendations on new or recurring opportunities.
  • Assist Sponsorship Manager in development of strategic planning initiatives that span across Business Units, and/or the Dr Pepper Snapple Group brand portfolio.


    Project Management: Leverage a strong project management discipline to deliver contractual asset reviews, sponsorship execution, and post analysis for local and regional partnerships you directly manage.

  • Lead development of branded signage, POS, packaging, activation, and promotions. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Sponsor, and Agency partners on sponsorship execution. Gain input and alignment from Sponsorship leadership (ex: Manager, Director, VP).
  • Lead post-analysis, including contractual asset review, asset valuation, and ROI modeling. Collaborate with Sales and external sponsor partners on post-analysis reporting. Gain input and alignment from Sponsorship leadership (ex: Manager, Director, VP)


    Budget Management: Lead budget management for regional and local sponsorship properties you directly manage, including accurate planning and financial investments to activate each partnership. Support Sponsorship Manager with budget analysis and reporting needs across all regional and local sponsorships. Drive the business with a rapid, continuous improvement mindset by seeking out ways to increase operating efficiencies, or cut costs, while driving solutions that streamline process or add enhancements.


    Communication: Ensure business integration, collaboration, and effective communication with key functional stakeholders, including by not limited to: Marketing cross-functional partners, Field Sales, and Agency partners, as measured by 360 feedback. Execute all sponsorships at retail and/or with consumer-facing programming designed to drive impact on the business. Work with Marketing Sponsorship Team (VP, Director, Managers, and Associates) to share best practices. Inform Sponsorship Leadership Team (SVP, VP, and Director, Manager) to gain alignment on program activation plans.

  • 3+ years of sponsorship or consumer marketing experience
  • 2+ years sponsorship marketing w/ sports team, property of venue
  • 1+ year making verbal presentations to members of Marketing Leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
