Team Description


Marketing partners with teams across the company to develop positioning and messaging for our brand and products; executes the campaigns, launches and events that communicate these messages; generates demand and revenue for our products; and continually brings deep customer insight into everything we do. The Head of Strategic Events develops our event strategy consistent with business goals, partnering closely with the executive team, marketing team and sales team. This person will play a leadership role in developing and executing our growing set of owned events as well as driving participation in 3rd party events.


We are looking for someone with significant scaled event experience as well as experience with smaller, high touch events. This person should have expertise in creating delightful event experiences as well as managing across the many cross functional areas that need to come together to make an event a success.


Responsibilities

  • Develops strategic event plan together with input from key stakeholders
  • Helps team prioritize events based on business goals
  • Manages budget, agencies, cross functional participation and deliverables associated with events.
  • Manages a team of event experts who drive successful events
  • Provides support for smaller events through scalable programs
  • Works with business owners to provide event wrap up and impact analysis
  • Works with creative teams inside and outside Dropbox to create a Dropbox specific event experience


    Required Skills

  • 8–12 years of event experience
  • Experience working with C-level stakeholders
  • Experience building and mentoring a high performance team
  • Has managed scaled events as well as smaller, higher touch events
  • Great communicator and cross functional leader
