The position is responsible for managing Subaru of America’s national auto show program, consisting of 60+ shows per year, supporting corporate strategy by developing and executing press conferences for vehicle introductions, as well as developing engaging experiences for attendees through consumer ride & drive programs and other on-site experiences.


The position manages the annual National Business Conference (Retailer Meeting), from site selection through to execution, leading the development of creative content and the participation of numerous Subaru departments and partner agencies.


The position is responsible for identifying opportunities and executing experiential consumer engagement programs in support of Subaru of America's motorsports program and promotion of the STI brand, including, but not limited to: X-Games, Wicked Big Meet, and Subiefest. Engagement may include developing enthusiast consumer ride & drives, owner activation events and sponsorship event activation. Management of, and on-site activation of SOA's professional sponsorship partner program activities. In this role, the incumbent will be part of a fast-paced team that has a track-record of delivering world-class programs.


Job Requirements include:

  • Develop Auto Show strategy – integrating brand and corporate requirements as needed
  • Develop and manage area of responsibility budgets.
  • Manage numerous partner agencies.
  • Work with SOA and FHI senior management and Marketing to develop activations.
  • Manage the creative process with partner agencies to develop video, print or other program creative assets, e.g. auto show display properties.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to AOR to increase the ROI and consumer engagement with the brand.
  • Communicate the goals and strategies of the programs to the field offices to develop retailer facing components where applicable.
  • Measuring and reporting on (AOR) effectiveness.


    Note: The position requires 25% travel.


    Required Skills

    Education/Experience

  • B.A. /B.S. Business Management/Marketing/Communications preferred plus 6-8 years’ experience in national events management or similar. Automotive background is a plus.


    Skill Requirements

  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to read blue prints or floor plans is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills within all areas of the organization, including senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, being able to manage partner relationships.
  • Job flexibility to manage diverse responsibilities Field experience and/or working with FHI is a bonus
