The Global Sponsorships & Alliances team is the center of excellence within Hewlett Packard Enterprise for acquiring, managing and activating sponsorships and customer alliances. The team is responsible for managing the portfolio of partners and delivering impactful marketing, sales enablement and customer engagement programs utilizing an array of partnership assets. Currently, the sponsorship portfolio includes DS Virgin Racing Formula E team, Penske Racing, Dallas Cowboys, East Lake Cup, Sundance Film Festival, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and DreamWorks Animation.


HPE is seeking an experienced sponsorship management leader to join the team as Manager, Global Sponsorships & Alliances to oversee the global portfolio of sports partners and own analytics and measurement for the team. The Manager will be responsible for all aspects of property management including relationship management, activation program planning and execution, technology deployment and proof of concept initiatives, case study and showcase development and sales acceleration. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for measurement, tracking, and reporting of sponsorship activities and partnership investments including production of the quarterly business report, sales impact analysis using tools such as Qlikview and opportunity tracking in Salesforce. The successful candidate will have an expert understanding of sponsorship activation in the B2B space, sponsorship deal structures, contract negotiation and analytics. Strong experience with partnership sell-in across large complex organizations, internal stakeholder consulting on how sponsorship assets can be integrated into new or existing programs and customer event execution are imperative.


The Manager will also support broader team initiatives such as strategy development, investment evaluation, competitive analysis and onsite operations at our highest profile C-level customer events such as Sundance Film Festival and Super Bowl.


Previous experience in the technology sector and working within large, complex global B2B organizations is preferred. The position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sponsorships & Alliances and is based in Palo Alto, CA. Extensive travel will be required.


Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field, MBA or Masters in Sports Management/Marketing preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in sponsorship marketing and activation field at a top tier agency, property and/or brand
  • Minimum of 3 years spent at an experiential or sponsorship agency Strong understanding and experience within global motorsports
  • Knowledge of sponsorship deal structures with sports and entertainment properties and personalities
  • Agency management
  • Budget management


    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working with international stakeholders and project teams and/or direct international work experience is a plus
  • Technology industry experience with B2B enterprise preferred
