The Marketing Manager is a new role within the Partner Marketing team that will work closely with content partners to manage and lead partner marketing efforts including channel launches, partner promotions, retail promotions, strategic projects and cooperative marketing efforts with assigned accounts in the US. The candidate must be an experienced, energetic and self-motivated individual to join the Partner Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Partner Marketing.
Build and manage relationships for a broad range of video & music streaming partners based in the US.
Negotiate, develop and execute innovative marketing programs that drive sales for Roku products.
Execute partner promotions online and with major retailers (Wal Mart, Best Buy, Target).
Identify and execute media barter deals and co-op marketing campaigns tied to channel launches and ongoing marketing efforts
Effectively market partner channels to Roku customer base via multiple touch points including web, social, and email
Pursue, evaluate, and prioritize new business/promotional opportunities presented by partners
Analyze partner campaigns throughout promotional period, optimizing as necessary to meet objectives.
Collaborate across the Roku marketing team to communicate and present opportunities for social, editorial, PR, web, and digital demand driving.
BA/BS degree required
7-10+ years of hands-on experience in a marketing or strategic alliances role within the entertainment industry
Direct experience managing partnerships, negotiating deals, and creating/launching marketing campaigns
A manager position at Roku is a senior level role that requires at least 10 years of experience, proven successes, impeccable references, and strong entertainment industry relationships. A current Sr. Manager or Associate Director at an entertainment network or studio is preferred.
Broad understanding of the digital/streaming space (SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, etc.)
Proven track record of successfully leading high stakes partner projects and working in cross-functional environments.
Proven ability to forge and optimize relationships with partners and colleagues.
Natural ability to lead, motivate and collaborate.
Proven planning, prioritization, organizational and time management skills.
Skilled communicator and ability to lead project discussions across varying levels of the organization.
