The role is to identify, secure and develop strategic partnerships and brand collaborations that drive positive brand equity, scale, potential new revenue streams and increase in sales for the Diageo portfolio.


Responsibility:

  • Deliver innovative partnerships and brand collaborations that create new cost neutral or revenue based marketing models leveraging mutual value between Diageo portfolio and potential brand partnerships
  • Create new and unique experiences that connect our brands with consumers in memorable and sharable ways, including new means of driving reach, awareness, sampling and experiential.
  • Develop strategic plans across partnerships, collaborations and corporate gifting initiatives to deliver on key business objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate new strategic partnerships and collaborations between brands and outside organizations that complement Diageo’s brands and drives penetration in culture.
  • Amplify brand platforms through partnerships and collaborations to deliver cultural currency and incremental sales volume.
  • Collaborate across multiple Diageo departments, including brand teams, media & productivity, innovation, commercial marketing, sales and partner organizations to imbed within the organization.
  • Provide account management services which will require oversight of day to day operations of current and future partnerships and collaborations.
  • Provide consulting services to brands and other Diageo groups that require information and insight into cultivating the appropriate partnerships and collaborations, including advising brands on their strategy and creative tactics to reach consumer and business goals.
  • Work cross-functionally between brand teams and agencies to help align initiatives, maximize spend and integrate partner and brand resources.
  • Represent Diageo to outside organizations and partners to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage any additional resources identified, e.g. agency support personnel, to deliver on new partner development, established relationships and corporate gifting initiatives.
  • Enhance corporate gifting strategic framework and oversee activation to deliver increase in sales.
  • Work with Diageo Legal and Corporate Relations to insure that all partnerships, collaborations, agreements and collateral align with the Diageo Code of Business Conduct and adhere to Diageo Marketing Code.


    Key Outputs/Deliverables:

  • Enhancement of current strategic framework for partnerships and collaborations.
  • Development of longer term strategic plan for partnerships and collaborations.
  • Ideation, development and delivery with partners and collaborations for Diageo brands as part of GAME planning cycle each fiscal.
  • Management of existing partnerships and collaborations for Diageo. Key Performance Indexes will be defined to clearly identify success criteria.
  • Securing and management of new partnerships and collaborations that strategically align with Diageo brand priorities. Key Performance Indexes will be defined to clearly identify success criteria.
  • Development of strategic framework and delivery of corporate gifting program. Key Performance Indexes will be defined to clearly identify success criteria.
  • Monthly reporting and pipeline partnership and collaboration progress.


    Required Skills

  • 10+ years strategic partnerships, brand collaborations, business development, integrated communications, events and influencer marketing experience, with 2+ years in Total Beverage Alcohol preferred
  • Extensive brand and client side experience
  • Experience in digital media and social communications platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communication
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, self-starter with a collaborative, team first, must-win attitude
  • Ability to build winning strategies and execute flawlessly
  • Ability to build great relationships
