This position is responsible for the execution of marketing strategies that support regional special events, national campaigns and sweepstakes. The position requires consultation with special events teams, media planning and budget management, and will interface with creative, media partners, finance and external vendor partners. The Advertising and Marketing Manager will also work on innovative strategies to further expand the team’s capabilities.


Essential Functions:

  • Regional and National Advertising Project Management – develop national campaigns in addition to marketing plans for Southeast regional and HOME special events; from media scheduling to presentation to release, clearly communicate with all involved parties to gather timely sign-offs to create error-free approved ads and collateral for assigned campaigns
  • Social Media Team Leader – gather, submit and manage social media requests / creative review on behalf of national team; participate on weekly social media team calls; work with Director to create comprehensive national social media strategy for National Events; research new and innovative social media strategies for implementation
  • Mobile Marketing Team Leader – work with Director, Mobile Marketing team, and agency to create and implement mobile marketing strategy to campaign specific events as well as an ongoing national strategy
  • Direct Mail System:– share responsibility for external DM program: manage relationships with key vendor partners including printer and mailhouse, work with internal partners including DM team, special events teams and finance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Visual Liaison – work with Visual team to ensure creative for in-store sign templates are in-line with brand standards
  • Budget Management – work with Finance monthly to ensure national expenses are in-line, team is on-budget and reconciled for closing; ensure POs are written and fulfilled for all associated media / event planning expenses


    Required Skills

    Education/Experience:

  • The candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and/or promotions.
  • Graphic Design Skills (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) – [Plus, but not required]

    Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

    Reasoning Ability:

  • Self-starter, works well autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Must be very detail-oriented and resourceful

    Other Skills:

  • Very Strong Organizational, Influence, Interpersonal and Project Management skills
  • Must be able to work in a fluid environment with changing direction
  • Ability to navigate resources to deliver solid results
  • Proficient Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint)

    Work Hours:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
  • Ability to work key holidays and off hours as needed (potentially 4th of July and Thanksgiving)
