The Team


The sponsorship team is unique in its ability to align the core DNA and culture of Cisco with external, inspiring organizations such as the NBA, Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Live Nation, among others for exciting activations to grow the Brand. Each team member is positioned at the helm of connecting the dots in order to deliver on business results – from sales and technology integrations being demonstrated to creating new programs involving customers (customer experience) and employees (engagement/participation/pride). Through the one-of-a-kind customized collaborations, this team showcases to customers, media, and global audiences the power of Cisco technology and thought leadership and what Cisco makes possible, influencing brand perception, demonstrating Cisco as the Networking Leader and Technology Visionary to the world. It’s also a fun group of people that offers a constantly dynamic platform for innovation inside and outside the organization.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing partnerships in the global sponsorship portfolio, execute the strategy and management of the activations, ROO & ROI metrics across all of Cisco and relevant agencies.
  • Demonstrate best practices from Rio and transfer that to building out the most cost effective and efficient infrastructure for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
  • Enable cross functional collaboration across Marketing and Communications for maximum impact of sponsorship assets in support of Cisco campaigns
  • Leverage sponsorship assets across marketing and sales.
  • Lead the alignment with the global de-centralization model with the country leads, brand leads and field marketing
  • Lead on metrics and measurement across all sponsorship platforms: Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, NBA, USAB, LiveNation etc.


    Required Skills

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 10+ years experience in related field
  • Business to business marketing experience
  • Senior sponsorship marketing experience with high tech
  • Prior experience working in a large, global company, preferred, particularly within technology industry
  • Prior strategy work: Ability to be a key contributor to the strategic direction by supporting the creation and implementation of strategic marketing plans and program development
  • Experience overseeing and managing executional deliverables and program activation

  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Previous responsibility with managing a diverse team and growing talent, and effectively managing agency partners
  • Experience interacting with senior executive leadership
  • Superior organizational skills with demonstrated initiative, ability to effectively problem solve and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working as both part of a team as well as independently
