As the Director of Sponsorship and Events, you will work closely with VP of Sponsorships and Events to help develop the strategy and Fidelity’s Personal Investing units best in class, business-critical sponsorship and events programs for national and local teams. You will be the primary lead with the 190+ investor centers to help them identify and develop strategic sponsorship opportunities that are aligned with their business objectives and budget considerations. Responsibilities include:
Sponsorship and Event Strategy and Development (40%)
Identify relevant sponsorship and experiential marketing opportunities for both the PI national organization as well as the LMD branch organization
Assess potential of opportunities against BU goals and objectives, promotional aspects, customer experience, brand alignment and value.
Constantly have an eye towards new and interesting sponsorship and experiential marketing opportunities in support of key segment and advertising campaigns; manage large sponsorship inquiries as well as proactive solicitation of vendors
Develop relationships with new vendors and bring forward new opportunities
Work across divisions and business units to design value-add elements to maximize opportunity
Negotiate and manage all sponsorship proposals and work with procurement and legal to finalize sponsorship agreements and term
Design high-quality, high-touch customer events aligned with LMD sponsorships
Sponsorship and Event Execution (40%)
Assist in building and executing strategic sponsorship and event marketing programs national, regional and local
Primary contact to develop strategy to manage and execute PI’s high-visibility sponsorship and event marketing programs
Identify and manage appropriate vendors who help to augment event and sponsorship program logistics
Develop appropriate hand-off to LMD contacts once the contract has been finalized
Center of Excellence (20%)
As the go-to in house expert for Events and Sponsorship within PI and Fidelity, acts as a trusted partner to marketing leadership throughout Segment, CKSI, Account, Creative and Production teams
Maintains stable of relevant vendor partners and functional experts and is a sought-after though leader in the space who brings industry best practices to Fidelity
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
5-8 years of sponsorship and event planning either working at an advertising agency or within a corporate marketing department
Background in Marketing and Communications
Working knowledge of Fidelity’s businesses in order to tie solutions to business needs
