The Partnership Marketing team of Macy’s Parade & Entertainment Group is a national, cross- platform sales team offering like-minded, non-endemic Brands customized and engaging multi-market integrated marketing solutions across a portfolio of Macy’s annual events and in-store experiences. Our high-profile experiential events and media platform opportunities include in-store activations and experiences, inclusion in Macy’s broadcast, print, outdoor, online and electronic media assets, various marketing collateral and customer facing assets, along with participation in our iconic annual events nationwide.


The Coordinator, Partnership Marketing is responsible for supporting the Partnership Marketing team, managing the day to day support of sales and fulfillment initiatives for new and existing integrated marketing programs and sponsorships across Macy’s annual events portfolio. These events include the annual Macy’s Flower Show, the annual Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, Macy’s Presents Fashion's Front Row, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and numerous Macy’s Holiday festivities.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist in managing all stages of development and execution of events by managing work flow (presentation materials, timelines, budgets, etc);
  • Lead the development of visually-appealing customized proposals for prospective clients which are creative, strategic and that meet client objectives. Lead in the creation of client recaps and coordinate accompanying marketing elements for delivery to the Client. Acquire and research quantifiable data, program elements, screen grabs, videos etc.;
  • Foster strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders while serving as a strategic marketing partner providing day-to-day integration and coordination of programs;
  • Responsible for the coordination, gathering and production of assets related to the execution of integrated event marketing programs, including communication about and approval of marketing elements among the Client, MPEG and Macy’s numerous cross functional departments. These include Advertising, Visual, Online and Digital, Mobile, and Social. Coordinate meetings to discuss current pending execution of marketing elements, team brainstorms, kick-off and status calls;
  • Work with team to ideate concepts for proposals in response to these telecons and meetings. Draft initial concepts and meeting notes and circulate to the attendees;
  • Exhibit a high level of confidence and strong presentation skills;
  • Responsible for maintaining client contact lists, sponsor status reports through Salesforce.com and internal MS Excel finance tracker;
  • Support Marketing Managers/Directors with all aspects of the sponsorship sales lifecycle;
  • Provide basic support as needed including but not limited to: managing requests for assets, scheduling and writing meeting notes, coordinating and participating in event activation assignments, etc;
  • Keep finger on the pulse of the ever-changing sponsorship and event marketing environment;
  • Explore these landscapes to find notable products/initiatives that are being executed by competitors. Present findings to the team.


    Required Skills

    Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 + years experience developing and executing promotions and marketing plans, preferably on a national level;
  • Experience in developing dynamic presentation materials, proposals and post-event recaps.


    Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport and credibility with internal and external business partners.


    Other Skills:

  • Creative thinker with working knowledge of sponsorships and entertainment marketing;
  • Enthusiasm for working as a member of a creative team with entrepreneurial spirit and a dedicated work ethic;
  • Ability to work independently and manage several on-going projects simultaneously;
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Illustrator, Salesforce.com;
  • Willingness to travel (10%).
