We are hiring for this newly created and exciting role that is focusing on our Corporate Partnerships. You will be responsible for establishing and managing strategic sponsorships and programs that support Medtronic brand and company objectives. You will also oversee key aspects of the Medtronic sponsorship portfolio and lead the planning and activation of strategic partnerships, including sports-related sponsorships and marketing programs. The role works in collaboration with Medtronic Corporate Marketing, Global Brand and External Communications to ensure all program campaign elements are aligned with the company’s strategy and deliver against the defined business objectives.


This role will report into the Sr. Director of Corporate Marketing and Strategic Partnerships


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strengthen the overall corporate partnership strategy and play a key role in identifying and securing new marketing partnerships that advance Medtronic’s corporate marketing objectives.
  • Serve as key liaison and contact with Medtronic’s external partnership agency to develop best-in-class marketing concepts that bring our business strategy and external story and message to life.
  • Lead the planning and execution of best-in-class integrated marketing programs that leverage all channels to extend our reach and brand presence that align with our business objectives.
  • Develop and deploy multichannel marketing campaigns that specifically leverage paid, earned, shared and owned digital platforms.
  • Ensure all programs are connected to Medtronic’s mission and drive employee engagement to strengthen the pride of employees to work for Medtronic.
  • Research, prospect and establish new business cases for new partnership opportunities that align with our business strategy.
  • Define and measure program objectives and outcomes and make recommendations on program enhancements and extensions.
  • Oversee Medtronic’s sponsorship agency across day-to-day property management and creative strategy development.
  • Lead and mobilize the work of cross-functional teams from across Medtronic to build consensus, and then develop, plan and execute sponsorship elements.
  • Lead the day to day project management to ensure all sponsorship deliverables are approved through all appropriate channels, delivered on time and on budget.
  • Negotiate and lead the development and approval of sponsorship contracts.
  • Allocate, track and manage and sponsorships budgets.
  • Evangelize partnership programs internally to all key stakeholders.
  • Build annual/seasonal recaps for each partnership summarizing promotional activities for executive analysis of deals, creative and overall strategic fulfillment.


    Required Skills

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing, sales or business management role (8 years with Masters)
  • Partnership marketing experience including developing and executing large-scale integrated promotional plans


    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Journalism, Communications or Sports Marketing & Promotions
  • Direct experience managing sports-related marketing sponsorships and programs strongly preferred
  • Experience with partnership program development including analysis of opportunity, negotiation, program development, digital and social marketing activation, content curation and deployment; community engagement; and employee communications
  • Superior knowledge regarding the practices and principles related to the development and implementation of corporate partnerships including sports-related sponsorships
  • Experience managing international or global programs/partnerships
  • Agency or agency management experience nice to have
