eBay’s Sponsorship and Event Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and managing trade show, sponsorship and event opportunities for eBay’s Motors Vertical. This includes developing integrated marketing campaigns and sponsorship opportunities (~70% of time) as well as end-to-end development, execution and on-site management of events (~30% of time). This individual will work closely with the eBay Motors business unit, vertical marketing teams and cross-functional partners as well as agencies to ensure flawless execution of all campaigns and events. The selected candidate will have proven experience in developing marketing and/or sponsorship campaigns in addition to managing event planning and logistics.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop campaign briefs, strategies and goals for all attended events.
  • Build out integrated marketing campaigns and media plans with clear objectives and customer targets to drive booth traffic and engagement as well as post-show communications.
  • Lead development of all collateral, messaging and creative that ties the booth experience and marketing materials cohesively together.
  • Develop annual Event Marketing and Sponsorship calendar for eBay Motors.
  • Identify and explore new sponsorship and event opportunities.
  • Manage all events from initial concept through onsite experience. Ensure all events stay on track with timelines and deliverables.
  • Plan budgets and ensure all events are tracking within budget scope.
  • Partner with and manage key agencies and vendors.
  • Communicate show plans, timelines and logistics to internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate post-show and campaign results and communicate actionable learnings and insights.


    Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Event Marketing, Sponsorships or Marketing Campaign management. Ideal candidate would have experience in both marketing campaigns and events/sponsorships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally across multiple teams (internal and external).
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously on time and on budget.
  • Ability to translate results into actionable insights.
  • Ability to think customer first and drive positive experiences for eBay sellers and customers through marketing programs.
  • Previous experience working with agencies.
  • Previous experience managing budgets a plus.
  • Automotive marketing experience a plus.
  • Bachelor degree or higher.
