Seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual who thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment to join the US sponsorships team. This person will support industry-leading and strategic sponsorship marketing tactics and event activations that educate our customers on American’s products, services, network and programs. This person has exceptional organization and project management skills, a positive attitude, an aptitude for the creative marketing process, and is familiar with internal and external communication channels (i.e. email, aa.com, social media, etc.).


The ideal candidate applies marketing best practices to their work and ensures campaigns are delivered on-brand, on-time and on-budget. They will support the sponsorship team lead by working with internal or external agencies to create and traffic creative assets, ensuring compliance with approved messaging and legal, coordinating billing and budget functions, compiling and analyzing data to measure campaign effectiveness, and being familiar with internal systems and processes.


In this role, you will:

  • Execute tactical plans that support US sponsorship marketing strategies. Tactics may include on-site activations / events, communication coordination and development
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including marketing strategy, advertising, social media, cause marketing and others
  • Stay abreast of what’s new and trending to help American break through the clutter
  • Provide project management and support to assist with all aspects of the process from asset creation through campaign implementation and recaps


    Required Skills

  • A minimum of a BA/BS required
  • Exceptional project management skills with experience in working effectively under extreme deadline pressures and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, and high value customers
  • Experience managing the creative process with an internal and external agency
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of AA policies, procedures, agreements and budgeting functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Willingness to travel, as needed
